"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-Romans 5:8
This past Sunday majority of our country celebrated what we know as Easter. For most Christians we recognize this day as Resurrection Sunday. This is the day that we reverence our Lord, Christ Jesus, and on this day he rose from the grave and conquered death, sin, and saved us from all horrible consequences for our fleshly lives. It's such a powerful day, yet many people lose sight of the real meaning of the day. We make children believe this day is about how well they can say an Easter speech in front of the church, the "Easter bunny", and the Easter egg hunt. While that's always fun, we need to instill Christ in the children today, as well as the rest of the world. The world needs Christ and as Christians, it's our job to lead them to Him. We can start by inviting friends and family to church.
So in this celebratory time, take the time to rest and meditate in the presence of God. Praise God for his Son dying on the cross JUST FOR YOU. If you were the only person in the world, He would have still endured all that because he loves you just that much. Three days later, he rose up and conquered like the King he is! Never forget the most true act of love from Love himself. I hope you all had a blessed and happy Easter!
