When I got back home, it felt so good to take a nice HOT shower. When I was on my trip, we went days with without water and some days with only drips of COLD water...
In that situation, God did something in me. Instead of us all getting mad we said "Ok now we're really getting the full experience [of the community we were helping]". It really helped put things in perspective. Instead of just "understanding that some people have it worse", I experienced it. I will never take anything for granted, no matter how small. The ironic part of the trip is that we didn't have water while building something for them to have water. But the bible said, "it is better to give than to receive" so I had no problem in not having something for a little while and helping someone have the same thing for a long time.
Remember, you can give God glory in ANYTHING you do. You don't always have to mention God or Jesus for Him to get the glory out of what you do.
