Ask yourself, have you gone through a Christ Transformation?
First, let's truly think about what a transformation is.
Transform - to change in form, appearance, or structure; to change in condition, nature, or character
Breaking down the word:
Trans is used with words like "across", "beyond", "through", and "changing thoroughly".
Form - to make or produce; to place in order; to frame in the mind
When you truly have a Christ transformation, you are crossing over from one side, to another, that is of Christ. Your life is now destined to go beyond what the carnal mind can fathom and what your natural eye can see. You are making a thorough change in the way you live, act, think, and walk. Being transformed is placing in order things that were once in chaos. You begin to get your flesh in order and you change your frame of mind. You no longer think the way you used to. Now God is directing your thoughts and your desires. You move and breathe, God.
Romans 12:2 says "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will." (NIV)
In the bible days, when people joined the body of Christ and received salvation, they were totally transformed. You could tell them apart from the unbelievers. You knew a miraculous change happened in their lives. They were so transformed that many times their names had to change because at that moment, they became a new creature, a living vessel for God. They were immediately changed and Christ was now inside of them. In Galatians 2:20 Paul says to Peter, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (NIV) If that isn't a life-changing statement, I don't know what is. Christ died so that you and I could live. He has equipped us to withstand the temptations of sin and the ways of our flesh, if we just submit to Him.
When Christ is living in your life and you have gone through this Christ transformation, your light should shine bright. You are to exemplify Christ in all that you do. "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven" Matthew 5:16 (NIV). Your transformed life should draw men to Jesus. They should want to know who this God of yours is and want to praise him like you do, just like the story of Daniel in the lion's den. Daniel is a prime example of a transformed person for Christ. His life is a living testimony. His heart was pure and his light shined bright. In the midst of trouble and adversity he still praised God. He didn't seek revenge or keep bitterness in his heart. He did the opposite of what is expected.
If you desire to be transformed in such a way, you have to have the heart and mindset of prayer. Continue to seek God's face and stay in his presence. Meditate on Psalms 51:10-12. This passage shows the heart of a transformed person.
Psalms 51:10-12 reads:
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." (NIV)
No matter who you are or what you are going through, God can change you. God can transform you!
