Fellowship is one of the most important aspects of the Christian life. Fellowship is being with other believers; learning about God and worshiping God amongst other believers. The bible talks about our duty as Christians to become a part of a church and fellowship together. This should be a part of our lifestyle. Many people think just watching a sermon online is enough, or going to church 'every once in a while' or just on Easter is doing their due diligence. It's important to be with the body of Christ, and frequently. We are called to be together to help each other, pull each other back up, and help one another stay on the path of righteousness. James 5:16 tell us, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." There are many benefits of fellowship with the Body of Christ. Being in fellowship can give you that boost of energy or motivation to keep going. When things in your life get tough, you have your church to help you and give you someone to lean on. Obeying God reaps many blessings, and that goes for being in fellowship with God's people. Your daily walk with God will be so much more rewarding when you share it with other believers. You will have a covering and a pastor praying for you. If you haven't already, please find a church home and stay committed to it. Be active and be consistent. It's your responsibility as a believer and God will reward you for it.
Philippians 2:1-5
"So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus".
