2 Corinthians 1:20
"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God." 2 Corinthians 1:20 This scripture really spoke to me! Whatever God promised, it will come to pass. He does not make promises and take them back. His promises are always Yes and we have to remember the important part, that it is IN CHRIST. Christ is key! Everything we do and say has to be for Christ and with the mindset of Christ. It is encouraging to know that God never makes too many promises, and that although He has made so many promises (since the beginning of time), they are all yes in Christ. And when we believe in Him and his Son, we are able to say "amen" in agreement to those promises, actively saying we know that God can and He will!

1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." No matter your age, you can make a difference in this world and in the lives of the people around you. There's no "you're too young" or "you're too old" with God. You can live a life of purity and holiness at whatever age you are now. When you give your life to Christ, the Holy Spirit lives within you and helps you to live your life setting an example in speech, life, love, faith and in purity. You can do it! Keep God first and strive to live like Him daily. Let the little, courageous boy in the picture be your motivation. ;)
John 20: 31 "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." This scripture is referring to the verses that prelude this verse, talking about the miracles of Jesus. John gives us vivid stories about the miraculous works of Jesus Christ in hopes that we will believe He is the Messiah and turn from our sins and follow Him. Take some time out your day to read this book of the bible and see the life of Jesus, according to John. I pray that when you read of what Jesus did as God on earth, you will believe and give your life to Him today. Choose God while there's still time. He loves you and longs to have a relationship with you.
God bless. Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." God will never fail you. God wants you. He wants you to seek Him. He's waiting on you. If you want God all you have to do is seek him and seek him wholeheartedly. I guarantee He will show himself strong in your life. Psalm 63:4-5 (NIV) "I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you." If you are breathing, you have something to thank and praise God for! His praise should never leave your mouth. Psalms is such a good example of how and why and when we are to praise God. God alone should satisfy you and you should never be content with just the things of this world. God has been good, IS good, and will forever be good. He deserves our praise.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
John 14:27 God will always be with you. There is never a reason to fear. Trust in the Lord and be strong. Have peace. Have faith. He loves you. Matthew 9:9-13 (NIV) The Calling of Sinners As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." People often judge without knowing the intention of another, or just plainly, the real truth. Ask God to show you His heart so that you may understand His way. God came in the way of flesh, Jesus Christ, to save the souls of many and to be a servant. If you allow Him, He will come into your life and change it forever.
Proverbs 31:10-31
A wife of noble character This is how every woman should strive to be: a virtuous woman, a Godly woman, a woman of good standard. Now days, we don't find many women worthy of being described by such a passage as this. Women, strive to have better self-esteem and know your worth. You are worth far more than rubies. A guy should have to get through Jesus to get to you. Let's have a better image and hold ourselves to a higher standard. God should look down on us and smile. He should be pleased by our actions, our appearance, and even our thoughts. Are you a virtuous woman? 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus has crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." -Galatians 5:22-25
"But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves."
Why would you listen to anyone without the intention on doing what they say? We do that all the time with God. That's not ok and it needs to be changed. If you love God, you will adhere to what he has to say. Love God, listen to his words, obey him, follow his orders, and you will be blessed beyond measures. |
