My first day here in Costa Rica I walked into the school on orientation day with the other exchange girl living with me. I looked around to find someone who looked like they were from the States lol. I saw Shyle sitting somewhere by herself and thought "dang she's probably from here and only speaks Spanish". To my surprise, she was the total opposite and I was so happy lol. We exchanged numbers and it all started there. Every weekend we did something together, whether it was going to a beach or doing something chill in San Jose. We soon became inseparable. Everyone said "y'all are one", and we are. We're like a package deal. If you ask one of us a question, you're basically asking us both. We never felt safe going anywhere unless the other one went too. I was happy I found someone that understands me, clicks with my personality, and someone I could depend on while being here in Costa Rica.
Well, yesterday, December 1st, my new friend left me and went back home early. Needless to say, I teared up. I spent the entire weekend with her and we had a blast the last two days of her being here. I'm so glad to say I met a new life-long friend. We bought matching friend bracelets. We got each other through this new journey in life and kept each other on track. We made sure we stayed positive through all the ups and downs here. Being with someone for three straight months in a new country, it's inevitable to learn a lot about each other. We definitely were blessed to start such a friendship here. If I didn't appreciate anything else about Costa Rica, I appreciate being able to meet such a fun, beautiful, goofy, strong, funny, amazing new friend.
(And I finally found someone who likes to take sefies as much as me! Lol)
Enjoy all the lovely pictures we took while being here in Costa Rica.!
