I know this is super late but hopefully there are some of you who still check in to read the Costa Rica blogs. After this blog I will have one more blog called "Reflections" to wrap up this series of blogs.
For this blog I wanted to briefly share with you all the experience I had my last week in Costa Rica, being accompanied by my mom!! So, my mom came to visit me for my last 11 days in Costa Rica. We had a really good time. It was all quite an experience that I'm sure we both will never forget. I showed my mom all around Costa Rica. I showed her how and where I travel to school, she met my host family, when stayed 3 nights in another part of the country (that's a funny story in itself), and we saw two different beaches. About the 3 nights in another country, we went to a part of the country called Puerto Viejo. It where more of the black people live (and where all of them are from if you seen them in Costa Rica). There, we didn't do much because it rained a lot. It didn't stop us though. We relaxed at the beach, at food at the hotel and another lil place, and even shopped a little. The town was so small we learned the whole place in a day lol. The funniest part, though, was seeing how my mom adapted to a lot of the things in the country. The main part, ants. In the hotel in Puerto Viejo, there were a lot of ants and my mom wasn't feeling that. It was hilarious seeing how she reacted when she saw them anywhere. You can't get around them because they are everywhere in Costa Rica. You don't even have to have food for them to come around. I definitely won't miss that lol. But needless to say, she was extremely happy when we got to the Radisson. We stayed in the Radisson for the remainder of our time in Costa Rica. Enjoy the few pictures that I took of food and different places we saw while there. :)
