Soooooo... hey y'all!! It's been a while since I've posted updates on this blog. It's been so much going on, with the transitioning and adapting to this new way of living. (I never promised this would be daily though lol). But anyways, since there's sooo much to catch you up on, I won't actually say much. I will just let you all look at the many pictures I've been taking throughout the week(s) I've been here. Some are of me, some of buildings, and some of the foods I've been eating.
I will let you know about one important day though. I was going to do a blog on this day, but life got in the way lol. I even had a catchy title. It was going to be called "Growing Pains". So I thought of this title because on this day I really had to grow up, involuntarily. It was the first day I had to do things on my own. That day I was the only one who had class at a later time so I had to figure out where and how to get food to eat and catch the bus all alone. I was nervous, felt out of place, didn't know what to do, vulnerable, and a little sad. I also noticed that I get homesick when I feel alone and in very unfamiliar and uncomfortable situations. But at the end of the day, I had learned how to say what I wanted to eat in the cafeteria and how to take the bus home alone. It was dark and the bus passed me up two times. I prayed a lot and did what I had to do. I also even went to the bank alone to go convert some money to colones. Fortunately, I knew enough Spanish to say that's what I wanted to do. I felt so proud of myself after that. God surely protected me. It's wonderful to know that God is on your side! And.....I have officially grown up lol and matured a lot more since being here in Costa Rica.
Now to the fun part, PICTURES!!
